NITRO, BURNOUTS AND FREESTYLE MOTOCROSS SET TO ROCK WILLOWBANK RACEWAY

20 April 2016

The coolest show in all of drag racing will once again be at Willowbank Raceway on the 30th of April. Featuring a massive field of 14 nitro cars as well as Nitro Sheriff and the Rocket Ship – wheelstanding funny cars that race the full track on their back wheels!
As a treat for fans, the Outlaw Nitro Funny Car action will kick off with a ‘salute to the crowd’, where every single nitro car lines up along the strip and fires up all at once-creating a 45,000 horsepower spectacle of sight and sound.
The Aeroflow event is all about the show, not only will all the nitro cars be on the track three times, the wheelstanders will run side by side down the strip in an amazing feat of fiery action. And for the first time at the track two new displays to entertain the crowd will be a part of the show- Aussie Freestyle Motocross and Ben Brays Burnout Car.

Aussie FMX will put on two twenty minute displays, amazing the crowd with tricks, stunts and jumps. Featuring two of the best riders, performing the most dangerous tricks in the industry- including back flip combinations.

Headlining the show is nineteen year-old local rider Luke Davies, who has quickly taken the Australian freestyle industry by storm. Accompanying Davies is Joe Shepherd, who has over 20 years’ experience in freestyle motocross and performed in shows across Australia and the world.
As part of the experience, Aussie FMX will also give fans the opportunity to meet the riders after the exhibition runs.
The Century Batteries Burnout Display by Team Bray Racing will feature national champion Ben Bray in his 1963 Corvette Stingray.
Iconic drag racer Victor Bray is happy to be a part of this exciting event and excited to showcase the Century Batteries sponsored car, “It has been a long time since we have done a burnout display at Willowbank Raceway. After taking this display around Australia, it will be good to be back on the old turf and having a bit of fun.”
“Ben will demonstrate the horsepower of his 63’ Corvette Stingray, in the controlled environment at the track, a noisy spectacle that is definitely a lot of fun”
Ben Bray has been a part of a numerous high-profile motoring event, such as Bathurst and the Gold Coast V8 Supercars and will attempt to burn through his tyres, creating a spectacular show for the crowd at Willowbank. The display will feature two demonstrations throughout the evening, in the aim to bring exciting entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

Spectator entry for the event is just $30.00 for adults ($25.00 for pension card holders and students with ID cards), and as always children aged 13 and under are admitted free of charge.

The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars will be joined on-track by Donnelly Blasting Services Pro Outlaw, Harts Paint Supplies Gold Coast Outlaw Radial, Modified, Super Sedan and Pro Street Bike. The non-stop show will kick off at 3.30pm, before a ‘salute’ to the crowd at 4.00pm followed by runs through to approximately 9.00pm. For full event information, please
