ANFA PIONEER AWARDS

The Australian National Fuel Association Pioneer Awards night was held at Western Sydney International Dragway on Saturday night. Queensland Pioneers Dennis Syrmis and Jim and Nelma Reed were awarded for their contribution to the sport of Drag Racing. Sue Syrmis accepted on Dennis’s behalf.

Jim and Nelma Reed towed the restored “Reeds Trucking T” altered to Sydney and featured in the cackle fest at the awards ceremony.

It was a great night to catch up with a lot of long time drag racing legends. Also awarded on the night were John English, Bob & Maureen Dunn, Warren and Freddie Armour, Graham Hussey and Joe Gatt.
